TED TY
Ted has over 18 years of experience at the feature animation level. He has animated on more than 14 feature films, and is presently working on "Rise of the Guardians". His CG credits include " Puss and Boots ", "Shrek Forever After" and "Kung Fu Panda". Before arriving at Dreamworks, he spent over 10 years at Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida doing traditional animation and worked on films such as "Mulan", "The Lion King" and "Lilo and Stitch" where he served as a Lead Animator. He is a graduate of the CalArts Character Animation program where he was recently the senior animation instructor for 5 consecutive years. Some of his artistic influences include Rembrandt, Pontormo, and the 9 Old Men as well as Mark Henn, James Baxter and Ruben Aquino. He is also a big fan of photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson, James Nachtwey and Jim Marshall. He is passionate about the martial arts, cars, cycling and ice hockey. He is overly obsessed with the Montreal Canadians and thinks his family rocks.
SHOWREEL POLISH
In the first half of this 11 week workshop we will concentrate on polishing. You will be fine tuning a shot of your choices that will best balance out your demo reel. We will be working on how we can improve our overall believability and appeal by choosing sincere acting choices. In the second half of the workshop we will concentrate on polishing a second shot to best balance out your demo reel. Again, the focus will be polish, polish, polish. We will be working on how we can improve our overall believability and appeal by choosing sincere acting choices.
